The newest thing floating around on torrent sites is Windows XP Service Pack 03.
This file isn’t the full release or even a beta release. So there are no garentees on how it will work. I haven’t tried it yet on my XP system at home and prolly won’t. I will just let others tell me how it is.
The file weighs in at 340MB so it will be a good file to download “overnight” but even after that it might not be done. But I don’t have DSL so I don’t really know how fast that goes.
A Microsoft spokesman Wednesday insisted that Microsoft still hasn’t decided whether to release SP3 for Windows XP.
“We have not confirmed plans for a Service Pack 3 for Windows XP yet,” said Michael Burk, product manager for Windows Vista. “At this point, the Windows servicing team is reviewing the feedback on Windows XP SP2 and is still evaluating timing and alternatives for the next Windows XP servicing release.”
I am not sure if this will ever get a “full” release or not. If you know, comment.
